Aspen is currently employed at L.L.Bean as a member of the Women's Design Team. Aspen's responsibilities include designing Women's Sleep and Loungewear and International Product as well as assisting all categories; sweaters, knits, dresses, wovens, bottoms and indoor jackets.
Responsibilities and skills include:
- Adobe Illustrator sketches
- PLM software management
- Trend presentation prep
- Commenting on handlooms and print submits
- Color palette assembly
- Spec/Tech pack creation
- Working closely with PD on fabric and yarn needs
- Work closely with TD to perfect fit
- Work with graphics and vendors to develop original prints and patterns, stripes and fair isles.
Aspen is a designer with strengths in sketching, construction, color theory, and styling. She is very tech and computer savvy, with skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Aspen is social media proficient, with experience through blogging internships and is well versed with all media platforms. She is an exemplary young designer, but what sets Aspen apart is her handwork ethic and exemplary time management and organizational skills. Aspen is also a huge asset due to her versatility with knits, wovens, sweaters, luggage and home textile experience.
Aspen Burke has a Bachelor of Science from URI in Textiles, Merchandising and Design with a business minor. She completed an internship with IMSY Swimwear. And was previously employed at ReSails in Newport RI as the Design and Production Team Leader.
When Aspen isn't working she enjoys skiing, barre, spinning, beach walks, and French press coffee.
